Mohammad Sukri Mustapa received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Science) from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, in 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). His research expertise encompasses solid mechanics, stress and fracture analysis, and sustainable manufacturing materials. His current research focuses on the development of green and recyclable metal injection molding (MIM) technologies, laser-based surface engineering, and bio-derived binder systems for advanced and sustainable materials recycling. He is actively engaged in international research collaboration, postgraduate supervision, and academic leadership. He is currently serving as a Visiting Scholar Fellow (2025–2026) at the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, Purdue University, USA, working with Prof. Gary Cheng.
